Praise the Lord, AGAIN!!

I want to share what happened today... one of the women in the program had a court date today. Her lawyer advised her that she should be prepared to go to jail because he was expecting the judge to give her some jail time for her past crimes.

The crimes were all drug related and with her past convictions over ... I don't know... maybe at least seven to 15 years... her fines were over $10,000.

I was with Connie and Tad when this woman came walking into the building and they were all surprised to see her. She was just so happy to tell them what happened that she was sobbing through most of it. They all expected her to be jailed. The Judge voided the $10,000 in fines and didn't give her any jail time. He only had her pay the $43 for today's court costs. What a PRAISE!

Her mom had picked her up from here and taken her to court. When she got before the judge she just told him from her heart that she was sorry for everything she had done. He asked her where she was staying and she told him she was in the program at Mountain Ministries. Her lawyer told the judge that he had seen a big change in her from when he first took on her case to today. Changes that he had not seen before. The Judge asked her what her routine was at the facility and she explained in detail...from getting up to getting in bed. He asked if she had any free time to do whatever she wanted and she answered, "No". He asked her is she was working at a job (getting paid). She answered, "No". Then he forgave the fines and didn't send her to jail for anything either.

I'd not heard such an emotional story... from someone that had just been forgiven so much.. and knew it.

"That's the good news", she said. The bad news is that she learned today that her mom's cancer is back and that she was going to have to go in for more tests and more surgeries right away.

She asked for prayer for her mom. Please pray for Jodi's mom.

I'm sure that she not only learned a lesson but that when she went down to the dorms and the others saw her come back... it gave them ALL new found hope... a lot of them are facing fines and jail time... every day someone is going to court. Child custody.. divorce.. drug charges... driving under the influence stuff. When there is a big miracle in someone's life... they all take part in the "hope" it gives them for themselves and others.
