When we arrived in October we did not know very many names... now we do. We have been blessed to know the men and women enrolled in the addiction program and very blessed to know the directors.

I say BLESSED. And very much so.

We are on a Hard Hats for Christ project to remodel a building but it's not about the building. It's about the people. It's about the relationships. It's about the friendships.
It's about the purpose. God's overpowering purpose.

“I have appeared to you for this purpose ” (Acts 26:16).

The vision Paul had on the road to Damascus was not a passing emotional experience, but a vision that had very clear and emphatic directions for him. Once he was shown this vision, he had no choice but to go forward to do God's will. We feel the same way. People ask why we do this. Why do we stay "on the road" instead of leading a normal life. I say now that's it's not a choice for us. It's a desire. We have no desire but to follow God's leading. Just like Paul on that day he fully realized who Jesus was. What was Paul going to do after that? Go home? No. He was hooked on God's overpowering purpose.

It takes about a year for someone in the program to reach graduation and, so far, we've attended two graduations. They were emotional and filled with the joys of the love of Christ. We hope to see many more joyous graduations in the months ahead. Please remember to pray for this project but don't forget that it's not about the building... it's about the people and God's overpowering purpose.
